Danse de Feu
A repeat flowering climbing rose. Also known as Spectacular. Small clusters of slightly scented, dark red blooms are produced repeatedly throughout the summer into the autumn. Foliage is an attractive green tinted bronze. Can be grown up a north facing wall. Hardy. Good disease resistance. Grows to 300-450cm in height.
Dawn Chorus
ROSE OF THE YEAR 1993. A large flowering hybrid tea rose. Fragrant blooms of an eye catching vivid orange colour are produced, often in clusters, throughout the growing season. Foliage is dark green with a red tinge. Ideal rose for use in flowerbeds. Good disease resistance. Hardy. Grows to 90cm in height.
Dearest
A cluster flowering floribunda rose. Beautiful salmon pink, camellia like blooms with a spicy fragrance are produced in large trusses throughout summer into the autumn. The bush is clothed in dark and shiny foliage. A vigorous branching growing habit. A good choice of rose for bedding, cutting and exhibiting. Spray regularly against disease. Hardy. Grows to 75 cm in height.
Deep Secret
A large flowering hybrid tea rose. Heavily scented, dark red blooms are produced in small trusses throughout the summer. The flower colour is perhaps the darkest of all red roses opening from buds that are almost black. Vigorous upright glossy foliage. Ideal as a cut flower. Good disease resistance. Hardy. Grows to around 90cm.
Doris Tysterman
A large flowering Hybrid Tea rose. Slightly fragrant, well-shaped blooms of a lovely blend of tangerine and copper are produced throughout the summer and autumn. Foliage is a glossy green with hints of bronze. Ideal as a cut flower. Hardy. Grows to 100cm in height. Spray against disease regularly.
Dorothy Perkins
A large rambling rose. Large trusses of double rose pink blooms are borne in profusion throughout June or July. Small, medium green, glossy foliage on long arching stems. Looks impressive grown as a pillar. Best grown as a screen or up a rose arch. Hardy. Spray regularly against disease. Grows to over 450cm in height. Prune after the last flowers have finished.
Double Delight
A large flowering Hybrid Tea rose. The queen of all bicoloured roses. Very strongly scented blooms of cream edged red produced freely throughout the summer and autumn. Good choice for cutting and exhibiting. Green glossy foliage. Hardy. Grows to 90cm in height. Spray against disease regularly.
Dublin Bay
A repeat flowering climbing rose. Clusters of large slightly fragrant, blood red blooms are borne profusely on strong healthy stems throughout the summer into the autumn. Stems are clothed in abundant dark green and glossy foliage. Adds a great show of colour to any garden. Hardy. Good disease resistance. Grows to 300cm in height.
Duchess of Cornwall
An old fashioned Hybrid tea type rose bearing deep apricot flowers with a superb fragrance. Has light green foliage and good disease resistance. Perfect for any bed or Mixed Border. Grows up to 100cm in height and 45cm in spread.
Duchess of Devonshire
A beautiful old fashioned hybrid tea style rose bearing radiant light red flowers with a very good fragrance. With a height & spread of approximately 100cm x 45cm. Perfect for any border or a large pot on a patio. Hardy. Good disease resistance.
